We created this game so that it would be enjoyed by players of all ages. Over 60% of our users are between the ages of 13 & 24. The content in our game is very similar to other popular video games where it contains battling monsters and humanoids but does NOT contain any inappropriate language or obscene material. We go to great lengths to make our game and community a safe place for all players.
Many parents have asked if AdventureQuest players can interact with other players once they become Guardians. AdventureQuest is a massively single player game, and this does not change once you become a Guardian. The only place for players to interact with other players is on the AdventureQuest Forums. Again, you must be 13 to create an account on the Forums. Unlike multiplayer games in which characters all wander around together and are free to talk to each other, AQ is a single player game in which there are events that players work together cooperatively to achieve story-oriented goals. In short, AQ is safe for your child to play in every way: they will never meet any other players inside the game and be subjected to situations or language not suited to their age.
If you were to give a "movie-style" rating to what you can find in AQ, all the content would fall in the G and PG-rated categories. There is never any foul language, nudity, graphic/bloody violence, or use of drugs. Too many games on the internet and on console systems allow such things: We do not.
We hope that your child enjoys playing AdventureQuest. If you get a chance, and have ever enjoyed fun adventure or fantasy games of any kind (including pen-and-paper RPGs), we encourage you to create a free account and play as well!
